Boyd Gaming continues a year of multi-million improvements to their restaurant portfolio, with the first of two switcheroos at the Gold Coast.
Cornerstone will take over from the Cortez Room, which shuttered last month after almost 20 years on property. Now hiring, Cornerstone is promised to be "coming soon," rumored to be this August.
The Cortez Room served a prime rib, steak and seafood menu in a casual setting and during the transition the Ports O' Call Buffet will serve prime rib at its carving station from Sunday through Thursday. Another, unnamed dining addition will be headed to the Gold Coast later this year.
Also on the near horizon for the company, a replacement for the recently closed Willy & Jose's Mexican restaurant at Sam's Town and at The Orleans, a makeover for the Prime Rib Loft, plus the future arrival of the yet to be announced, $3 million gastropub filling the Brendan's Irish Pub and Koji Sushi Bar & China Bistro empty spaces.
In the past year, Boyd's has unveiled Alder & Birch at The Orleans, California Noodle House at the California Hotel and Casino and Du-Par's and Brigg's Oyster Co. at the Suncoast.
