An epic one year, nine months and 11 days since Eater Vegas first ruined their surprise, Wahlburgers finally debuts their first Las Vegas location today.
Located at the rear of the Grand Bazaar Shops, the counter and table service restaurant has already launched its own drink and souvenir merchandise kiosk closer to the Strip.
Currently in soft-open mode before a planned "Grand Opening" celebration, for a few days the company has been quietly serving burgers, chicken sandwich and frappes to lucky guests to help train their new staff.
Created by celebrity brothers chef Paul Wahlberg and actors and musicians Donnie and Mark Wahlberg, the restaurant is surprisingly low key in self-promotion. Artwork created with the brother's screen credits looms over the room, but photographs of the TV and movie stars are most prominent on outdoor signage.
A full bar featuring three TVs sits inside and guests can choose to dine at tables with the brand's signature green chairs, in cream colored booths or out on the patio.
On the menu, the same choices found at Wahlburgers' original home in Hingham, Mass., the inspiration for the trio's A&E reality show. Vegas visitors can now order "Wahlfaves," like the $12.95 "O.F.D. Originally from Dorchestah" and $14.95 "Triple Decker" burgers, decide between onion rings, fries or tater tots each available for $4.95, or pay tribute to the boys' own mother with "Alma's Classic Macaroni," priced at $8.95.
Opening hours will be be Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. In 2014, original plans called for three Las Vegas Wahlburgers to boost their ambitious nationwide expansion plans.
