Aloha Kitchen has been serving a taste of home on the "Ninth Island" since 1998, expanding to four local locations and a fifth is now promised to be "coming soon."

At the corner of Maryland and Windmill, Aloha will take over the long-shuttered Kabob Factory, next door to a Starbucks at the Silverado Plaza. The 3,600-square-foot space will be host to their second tavern, creating the Aloha Kitchen & Bar, dropping 25 video gaming machines into the bar top.

Yet to be revealed, if this new home will continue the tradition of their original bar concept at Decatur and Sahara, known for their happy hour specials, daily opportunities to try out their karaoke machine and frequent live entertainment.

The locally born chain serves regional Hawaiian food, plus Japanese, Korean and Filipino favorites. "Student special" pricing is popular at their previous Maryland Pkwy location, very close to the UNLV campus.

No exact debut date has yet been revealed.
