Love Alex Stratta? Well, now he’s out at Prado at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, according to the Arizona Republic.
The former chef behind Tapas by Alex Stratta and then Salt & Pepper at Tivoli Village left the job he took in February.
"The separation was amicable. It was on great terms," Frank Ashmore, general manager of the Paradise Valley resort, told the Arizona Republic.
The first menu at Prado just rolled out .
"I really enjoyed working there," Stratta told the Arizona Republic, "but it didn’t feel like it was fair to either party for me to continue."
Stratta says he relocated from Las Vegas to Phoenix "to be with his family, but the time required to run a breakfast, lunch and dinner resort restaurant like Prado at the level he expects of himself was leaving little time for them."
So for the time being, try the Statta menu at Prado while Michael Cairns, the executive chef for the resort, will continue to oversee the restaurant and the Prado team.
