Get ready for a renovated Ethel M Chocolates. The Henderson-based chocolate factory store celebrates its 35th anniversary with a renovation to the factory store that includes a refreshed look, new interactive elements, an expanded retail space and additions to their café menu.

Today, a pop-up store located at the factory debuts while the renovation takes place. The 2,400-square-foot space includes the full retail line and a private tasting room. Of course, the factory’s three-acre Botanical Cactus Garden with more than 300 species of cacti and desert plants remains.

The redesign features colors and materials that represent the factory’s original copper kettles and the Botanical Cactus Garden. All-new interactive features will be introduced including an upgraded Chocolate Tasting Room that looks out at the cactus garden. There guests can learn how chocolate is made and also sample freshly made chocolates. A demonstration area will also be added to the new layout, where a chocolatier will prepare chocolate-covered strawberries, caramel apples and more.

The factory store’s self-guided viewing aisle plans to features digital displays to illustrate the history of Ethel M Chocolate and the sustainability efforts of parent company Mars Co. Shadow boxes containing original artifacts will also be installed along the timeline exhibit for guests to interact with and photograph.

The existing café will also be remodeled and offer an extended menu to include coffee, specialty drinks and light bites.

That expanded retail space covers 7,500 square feet of preservative-free chocolates and treats.
