Last month, Chinatown's well respected Izakaya Go upped the stakes in the battle for your local poke and sushi burrito dollar with the debut of Pokeman. Now comes word yet another established chef will join chef Izakaya Go’s lead and enter the fastest growing casual food genre in Las Vegas.
Aiming for a Sept. 1 debut date, former Nobu executive chef Karu Wedhas will be behind the menu of Tail & Fin, located in a retail center at the intersection of Maryland and Silverado Ranch. Chef Wedhaus' resume includes Nobu Las Vegas and Nobu Beijing.
Expect the now familiar set-up of selecting your own ingredients to create a poke bowl or sushi burrito, but with the promise of "luxurious flavors in a cool and convenient setting."
Neighboring a Teriyaki Madness and Mama DePalma’s Pizza & Bistro, the restaurant is overseen by Jeffrey Tomastik, an executive of VIP marketing for the Hakkasan Group.
Tail & Fin plans to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
