Las Vegas finally landed its first conveyor belt restaurant, serving Mongolian-style hot pots in Chinatown. Chubby Cattle comes from owner Harby Yang, who grew up in Inner Mongolia, where his family operated a hot pot restaurant.

The $1 million restaurant features 3,600 square feet that seats 160 and features a waterfall, a custom-designed 3D recessed sky ceiling, custom made hand cut granite tables with induction cookers, specially designed under-the-table cell phone holders, private VIP rooms and a custom built fish tank that holds live seafood the chefs cook. A dozen high definition flat screens show videos of Chinese cooking, art, history, music videos, culture and more.

The restaurant serves chicken, lamb, beef brisket, rib-eye steak, pork, tripe, live geoduck, live shrimp, live king crab, live Vancouver crab, scallops, bass, clams, more than a dozen vegetables, tofu, noodles, rice, dumplings, house-made dessert and more.

The broth here is a soup base, made from a "special and secret recipe" that is slow simmered daily for eights hours before served.

The restaurant is a partnership between Little Lamb, the international restaurant that operates nearly 600 locations worldwide, and NXTFactor, an international digital agency and investment firm.

Find Chubby Cattle in the Mountain View Plaza at 3400 S. Jones Blvd. It’s open daily from 4 to 11 p.m.
