Showboy BakeShop’s expansion from Henderson to Spring Valley officially debuts in a few days time. The 1,013-square-foot former Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt space at the Hualapai Village Center has been transformed with plenty of sparkle and tributes to live theater and opens its doors at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 22.
Owners Stephen Lowry and Jared Sullivan have been a fixture on Anthem Village Drive since early 2013, creating sweet choices for walk-in customers and custom cakes for special occasions and high-profile opening night parties on the Strip.
Previous competitors on the Food Network's Cupcake Wars and Cake Wars, the team will be bringing over their established menu to the southeast corner of Hualapai and Desert Inn, serving cupcakes, cookies, "cake pops," "ShowCups," "Showiches" and truffles.
In Henderson, single cupcakes are priced at $3 each, with a dozen for $33 and cover a variety of "showbiz" themed flavors, like The Composer, a "rich chocolate cake accompanied by a fluffy peanut butter frosting," The Pin Up, a "cherry cola cake with Cherry Cola butter cream," Intermission, a "root beer cake with a root beer float buttercream," plus a "Topless" line of "uncovered" cakes, available without any frosting.
Opening hours have yet to be revealed, but their original home is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and until 8 p.m on Friday and Saturday.
