Meet Burger Joint, the new restaurant from Damian Altamirano, who helped open Tableau at Wynn Las Vegas and helped debut Old Homestead at Caesars Palace and later SHe at Crystals and then Triple George at the Downtown Grand, and Jose Navarro.
The restaurant offers certified Black Angus coarse ground and organic grass-fed beef from Bartels Farms in Eugene, Oregon. A local bakery creates the buns.
Josselin, who moved on to Hawaii, and Altamirano came up with the idea of a place where "the burger was king, the beer was cold and they complemented one another."
Some other interesting facts about Burger Joint:
Everything is made in-house, down to the hand-cut fries, tater tots and sweet potato tater tots.
The restaurant uses Sir Kensington's Ketchup as a base, with ingredients added to create different flavors. The bold ketchup adds hot sauce and Sriracha, for example.
The truffle fries has truffle salt and real shaved Black Summer Truffle, but no truffle oil.
The vegan menu includes a roasted portobello "burger" and cauliflower "wings."
The black sesame seed buns are made without eggs, making them a perfect wrap for vegan burgers as well.
