John Kunkel’s 50 Eggs already brought Yardbird Southern Table & Bar with its fried chicken, watermelon, biscuits and grits to the Venetian in early 2015.
Miami executive chef Lorena Garcia is tinkering with the idea, already planned to open next year. Kunkel says the location will be announced soon. He calls it a "fun brand experience around Latin American flavors and cultures and cocktails" inspired by living in Miami.
Kunkel already has plans to expand Yardbird to Singapore and Dubai as well as Beverly Hills in 2017. London is already on the radar for 2018, and Kunkel is taking a look at locations in Washington, D.C., and New York.
He also has a new fast-casual concept dubbed Spring Chicken that he plans to expand.
