Way back in May, Eater Vegas discovered plans for Freedom Beat, a new restaurant at the Downtown Grand. Now comes word that the restaurant plans to make its debut in September.
Vital Vegas reports that Freedom Beat takes over not only the shuttered S + O but Red Mansion as well.
Downtown Grand calls this a "restaurant and music venue" with a menu of Americana food favorites served round the clock.
Former Donut Bar & Coffee and Inna Gadda di Pizza, which just shuttered at Pawn Plaza, owners 34th Floor Hospitality Group created the concept designed by Bunnyfish Studio. Chef Scott Commings, who won season 12 of Hell’s Kitchen, helms the kitchen.
Guests can look for chicken fried bacon, beer can chicken and Red, White & Blue velvet waffles. Regional boilermakers, craft beers and cocktails make the drinks menu.
The 160-seat restaurant is designed with tiered levels to accommodate live music that ranges from local talent to "music inspired by beat poets."
