Proudly hyping a CNN endorsement as "the best chicken wings in the country" and followed by a very loyal customer base who have be waiting for months for their arrival, Bonchon Chicken has finally debuted at the Rainbow Sunset Pavilion retail center. Their semi-secret soft-opening has already created lines of fans eager to sample their Korean-style crunchy, crispy fried chicken.

Located "just north of the 215 on the west side of Rainbow" and close to Kobe Sushi Bistro and Crab Corner, Bonchon’s building features a distinctive arch over their signage, easy to spot from a passing vehicle.

On the menu, wings, strips, drums or a combo, all featuring a side of pickled daikon radish. Prices begin at $11.95 for 10 pieces and rise to $30.95 for 30 pieces of wings or strips.

Starters include $10.95 potstickers, $9.95 kimchi pancakes, $10.95 bulgogi sliders and the $6.95 takoyaki, "fried octopus dumplings lightly drizzled with Japanese mayonnaise, katsu sauce and sprinkled with bonito flakes."

Main dishes, aside from their fried chicken specialty, include a $12.95 bibmbap, $10.95 Korean tacos or pork buns and the $13.95 japchae, "glass noodles with red peppers, carrots, spinach, mushrooms and thinly sliced marinated beef."

Guests are welcomed by hostess and can sit inside, on the 1,140-square-foot, covered outdoor patio space, or take their order to go.

Created in 2002 in Pusan, South Korea, the Bonchon brand can be found in 40 locations from New York to California flaunting their corporate catchphrase, "addicted yet?"
