Only six weeks in and chef Bryan Ogden already left Mixx Grill & Lounge, his new restaurant at Boca Park that took over the former Gordon Biersch space, Vegas Seven reports.
Owner and operator JP Teresi, the former general manager at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas, promised a restaurant with a "culinary theater in the round" setting, where guests were promised "you're going to see the chef. Meet the chef. Interact with the chef."
The 9,000-square-foot space features a menu of "28 appetizers, the biggest selection of its kind in Las Vegas," with a menu featuring "seafood influences from the South Pacific, Vietnamese, Chinese, Australian, Polynesian. And underneath it all, a strong French influence."
Ogden, previously with Munchbar and his father’s Bradley Ogden at Caesars Palace, tells Vegas Seven that he "spent a large amount of money to move himself and his team to Las Vegas for the project, in the hopes of making a go of the place."
Ogden characterized the departure as differences in "style of management" but promises a "new local project shortly."
