Carla Pellegrino’s Bratalian Neapolitan Cantina in Henderson plans to reopen on Oct. 10 after a truck plowed through the restaurant in August. Expect an Oct. 10 debut with an expanded bar, and, of course, walls.

On Aug. 15, an SUV crossed over five lanes of traffic, hit the strip mall's sign and landed inside Bratalian, taking down walls and windows, and as Pellegrino wrote, "crushing into my dining room and women's bathrooms walls in the back of the restaurant; leaving behind a track of material destruction and ripping apart the livelihoods of 15 employees."

Pellegrino set up a GoFundMe page and raised $7,310 of her $30,000 goal. That money helped pay staff while the restaurant rebuilds.

Pellegrino, who appeared on Top Chef: Seattle, said the restaurant was closed at the time and Pellegrino’s sister Alessandra Madeira says she was running 15 minutes late that day and missed the accident.

Pellegrino recently returned from Miami after two years of opening and running Touché Restaurant & Lounge. She only recently added lunch and a weekend brunch to the menu.
