One of Las Vegas’ most beloved chefs says goodbye to a job he held for more than 10 years. Eric Klein, the executive chef of Spago at the Forum Shops at Caesars, leaves his post after his fourth Sip & Savor event at the restaurant on Sept. 14.
From there, he plans on moving on to what Wolfgang Puck’s representatives are calling his "next endeavor," which Puck plans to announce.
"Eric has been a tremendous part of the success of Spago Las Vegas; everyone loves him," Puck says in a press statement. "He will be missed at Spago, but we are all very excited about his next venture."
Klein worked with Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group for 16 years, initially working with Puck in California. He helped Puck open Spago in Beverly Hills in 1997 as the sous tournant. From there, he moved on to executive sous chef/chef de partie-garde mange in 2001.
Klein moved to Las Vegas in 2005 to be the executive chef at SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas, and then executive chef at Fix at the Bellagio in 2006. He returned to the Puck empire in 2007, taking over Spago.
Spago plans to announce a new executive chef at Spago soon.
