Inside the inauspicious former home of a Zaba's Mexican Grill, Ohlala French Bistro has quietly debuted in Summerlin at the Pueblo Place retail center, very close to a locals' favorite Nattaya's Secret Kitchen.
Created by Richard Terzaghi and Nicolas Sillac, co-owners of L'Osteria Del Forno Italian restaurant in San Francisco's North Beach, the team has gone back to their French roots and are encouraging guests to "jump with both feet into the world of French Bistronomie."
The corner site, 1,866-square-foot restaurant, bar and lounge features new chandeliers, booths and regular table seating, plus a well stocked wine room.
On the menu, appetizers like the $6.50 French onion soup, a $9 beef tartare and $6 "mimosa eggs." Sandwiches include the $8 "Le Paris," created with French ham, butter and French pickles, and the "L'Atlantique" option of "smoked salmon, butter, crème fraîche, dill and lemon juice" priced at $11.
Entrees include roasted Cornish hen, carbonara pasta, a flank steak with red wine shallot sauce and the $29 "filet mignon sauce au poivre vert," a beef filet mignon with cream green pepper sauce and French fries.
