SG Bar Brings an ‘Elevated Tavern Experience’

Meet Golden Entertainment’s latest tavern, the newly opened 24-hour SG Bar. The 52nd tavern for the company in Nevada brings a less-than typical menu, dubbed "an elevated tavern experience," in the former Sedona restaurant space at the 215 and Flamingo Road.

The menu features dishes meant for two or three people to share. Guests can find a deconstructed wedge and a Greek gyro salad, as well as Mr. Khilnani’s curry chicken, honey mustard glazed salmon, burgers, steaks and fried chicken.

Guests can share dishes such as street tacos, ahi tuna poke, calamari and clam fry, Buffalo chicken dip, baked ricotta with meatballs and shrimp scampi. Breakfast, served round the clock, features a breakfast burrito with chorizo, chicken fried steak and eggs, corned beef hash and the SG Benedict.

Behind the bar, look for 30 different wines, 24 beers on tap including seven from the company’s PT’s Brewing Co., and nine specialty cocktails, some made to serve up to five people. The Deep Eddy Funkin Brazilian lemonade uses lemon vodka, a mint-infused lemonade, a puree of mango, passion fruit and orange juice topped with ginger ale, while the Good Morning Mary to share uses Tito’s vodka. All ring in between $22 and $28. The $10 signature cocktails include the Elevated Mule with Deep Eddy peach vodka, Pok-Pok honey vinegar, vanilla lime sour, ginger beer, honey and ginger lollipop garnish and the Talkalot Chocolate Martini with Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Baileys Irish Cream and Grey Goose vodka, shaken and poured into a chilled chocolate-lined martini glass.

The 7,500-square-foot bar has room for 118 guests in the dining room as well as a patio with space for 60. Guests at the 30-seat bar can play at one of 15 video gaming machines, while everyone can watch sports at one of 33 high-definition televisions.

Private dining comes in a board room with space for 10 as well as two televisions and a wine cooler.
