The Sugar Factory American Brasserie going into Fashion Show mall is back on, ready open its largest of 20 locations in December.
The two-story, 17,700-square-foot location features an indoor dining room, two outdoor patios on both levels, a 14 seat mini-carousel sitting in a field of "candy" flowers that leads to a private gazebo, a full-service cafe, a bulk candy selection in the confectionary shop and a chocolate lounge on the second level.
Guests enter through a 1,500-square-foot retail space filled with floor-to-ceiling candy bins filled with 500 different types of sweets that leads into the main dining room and full-service indoor and outdoor goblet bar that looks like a white marble carousel.
Upstairs, guests find a mini-carousel ride surrounded by colorful "candy" flower gardens that surround a private gazebo and the daiquiri bar. Also upstairs, a 2,500-square-foot Chocolate Lounge outfitted with a floor-to-ceiling chandelier. Here find chocolate dippedglassware for specialty cocktails and new chocolate pizzas.
The brand’s Couture Pops, homemade specialty rainbow doughnuts, novelty and bulk
candies, and homemade gelato and ice cream fill the first floor.
Guests can order crepes, salads, burgers, milkshakes and pizzas. The King Kong Sundae returns, serving up to 12 people with 24 scoops of ice cream topped with sprinkles, caramel sauce, fudge sauce, strawberry sauce, marshmallows, Reese’s Pieces, chocolate chip cookies, crushed waffle cones, gummy bears, white chocolate strawberry shavings, sliced bananas, toasted walnuts and whipped cream, then topped off with giant swirly pops. New desserts include a brownie sundae.
For cocktails, find the S’mores martini, the Peace Love & Harmonie and 60-ounce alcohol-infused smoking candy goblets like the Lollipop Passion garnished with lollipops and candy necklaces.
The restaurant plans to be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 7 to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to midnight. Saturdays and Sundays feature brunch.
In 2017, model Kylie Jenner plans to host the grand opening.
