Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips Sets Opening Date

Time to "get hooked." Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has set an opening date at The Linq promenade for his casual fish and chips shop prototype, already eyed for future worldwide expansion. But for those with patience and maybe some Las Vegas luck, you might be able to sample a Michelin-star chef created "chippy" much sooner than expected.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips has announced their official opening day will be Friday Oct. 7, with Ramsay intending to return to The Strip later in the month and formally crown his new venture. Meanwhile, as the counter-service crew continues training, signage outside the chip shop promises they will be serving "this weekend." No opening hours during the soft launch have been posted.

Located close to the Las Vegas Boulevard entrance to The Linq and part of a $2 million remodel of the building, guests will enter through re-purposed, vintage British telephone boxes and encounter a bright red, white and blue interior. A large neon version of the brand’s fish logo is already lit up inside.

Diners will line up to place their orders at the counter and beverages will be self-serve. Designed for guests to purchase, leave, walk and enjoy, there will only be "20 to 25" chairs out on the patio and seating inside for another "20 or so."

A selfie station was also planned for visitors to take a souvenir photo and post it directly to social media.

Last week, the chef revealed via his Facebook feed opening hours are hoped to be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m daily and 1 a.m. on the weekend, but there has been yet to be a confirmed announcement of hours or prices.

Verified for the menu, battered fish and chips, a "fish-wich" sandwich, chicken and chips, shrimp and chips, sausage and chips, or a tray of chips on their own.

Milkshakes include sticky toffee pudding, buttermilk raspberry and Ramsay’s signature Biscoff cookie creation. British beers will also be available.
