World of Beer Sets Opening Date at Galleria at Sunset

Franchiser Wolfgang Hauck will open the doors to Nevada’s first World of Beer later this month, keeping true to the brand’s trademark inventory of 500 choices of bottled beer, plus around 50 more on tap and a dining menu of "tavern fare."

Located on the upper level of the Galleria at Sunset, in between Larsen's Grill and Gen Korean BBQ House, World of Beer has confirmed a Sept. 19 debut date.

The Tampa, Florida-based company was founded in 2007 and has rapidly expanded to almost 100 nationwide locations. Their specialty is a centralized beer inventory of more than 20,000 options, allowing regional restaurants easy access to popular and rare local craft beers.

While the restaurant was making its way through the City of Henderson approval process, permission was granted to offer live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights on a temporary stage area in the 164-seat dining room.

Early plans indicated a small "sofa lounge" close to the entrance and seating options in booths, a "nook" section and at the long bar with 23 stools. A covered, 1,258-square-foot, 49-seat outdoor patio was also part of the planned layout.

On the menu, comfort choices like pretzels, chimichurri meatballs, flatbreads, sliders and sandwiches filled with chicken & waffles and "Guinness bratwurst."

And for regular customers, they provide a WOB Loyalty Card, so customers can earn a point for each beer purchased. Points can be be traded for "gift cards, T-shirts, embroidered polo shirts, plaques and mugs" and for the ultimate repeat customer, parties held in their honor.

Opening hours will be daily from 11 a.m to midnight and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
