First it was The Old Spaghetti Factory, then Whiskey Dick's, next it was Blues BBQ and finally Sauce Italian-American Bistro is the latest tenant to shutter across the street from the Sunset at Galleria in Henderson. Hoping the place isn’t cursed, plans are in place to keep the existing tavern license active for the next occupant.
Officially planning to close on Jan. 15, Sauce has already shut down its website and ceased Grubhub food deliveries. Customers should be aware a Groupon deal is still being sold without mentioning the closure and existing coupons will expire very soon expire, if they have not already become invalid.
The 10,985-square-foot restaurant and bar served a casual Italian-based menu in an environment self-described as "family-friendly casualness meets Vegas' signature brand of chic" and their original stated mission was to bring "Vegas Style Nightlife After Dark" to the neighborhood.
Sauce never installed video gaming and the next tenants will need to apply for a new gaming license. Current paperwork filed with City of Henderson notes a possible "pending sale" to Nevada Restaurant Services Inc. is in the works The company is better known for operating gaming taverns under the name Dotty's.
