Ariel Malone, who won season 15 of Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen back in April, left her position as the head chef at BLT Steak at Bally’s Las Vegas. Malone won the position, along with a $250,000 a year salary.
A hostess at the restaurant said, "She got a really big offer she couldn't refuse." Caesars Entertainment did not respond to a request for comment. Diablo Wine, the official wine of Hell’s Kitchen, still has a contest to win a dinner for two at BLT Steak to meet the chef.
The Teaneck, New Jersey, cook has no training, but started working in kitchens 10 years ago. Her Hell’s Kitchen profile noted that the 26-year-old was a chef at a country club. She told the TV show that her signature dish is shashkouka, poached eggs in a tomato sauce with chili peppers, onions and cumin. While at BLT Steak, she was in charge of the blackboard specials.
On the show Ramsay said her, "creativity and attention to detail has been second to none."
Note that the winner of Season 16 of Hell’s KitchenHell’s Kitchen becomes the head chef of Yardbird Southern Table & Bar at the Venetian. That finale airs on Feb. 2.
