Station Casinos will finish their first year in possession of the Palms resort with a major upgrade to an important casino floor necessity. The 24 Seven Cafe will shutter at the end of January for a full renovation, to return sometime in the spring with a new look and menu.
Yet to reveal the new name, current paperwork refers to the project as the Palms Cafe, allocating an impressive $2.6 million in estimated construction costs alone. The 6,934-square-foot complete makeover will reconfigure the walls, finishes, bar, light fixtures, the kitchen and the entire look of the main dining room.
Originally known as Sunrise Cafe, local dim sum favorite Cathay House was slotted into the back of the restaurant in 2011 and lasted until 2013.
During the construction, the N9NE Steakhouse dining room will serve a "limited breakfast café menu Sunday through Monday 6 a.m. to 11 a.m." Guests can also head to the Bistro Buffet for daily breakfast and an "overnight ‘graveyard’ spread" priced at $8.99 for customers signed up for Station’s Boarding Pass players club.
