The low-key, but underground favorite Ramen Misoya Tomi in Chinatown recently closed for a remodel and has returned with a new name and new outlook for their menu, but still featuring the same culinary crew.

Located on Spring Mountain, close to Arville St. and Yui Edomae Sushi, Go!ku J-wraps & Ramen now specializes in serving ramen and "j-wraps," better known as sushi rolls, with both made to order.

Ramen dishes featuring basic toppings such as seaweed, chashu and menma, plus a broth created with tonkotsu, chicken, miso or spicy miso are priced at $7.85. Wraps are priced between $2.99 to $4.99 each, ranging in ingredients from tuna to shrimp tempura to sliced rib eye steak. Combination deals further lower the cost, if your order a bowl of ramen and a J-wrap together.

Also available, appetizers like edamame, deep fried gyoza and mini sashimi, $4.99 poke and curry bowls, karaage fried chicken and fries and ice cream for dessert.
