First uncovered last September, Rockin' Crawfish has debuted under the radar, filling a 3,200-square-foot spot in the Maryland Crossing retail center, close to Target at the intersection of Maryland and Flamingo.

Created in 2010 and now operating three locations across the bay from San Francisco, the lively and casual Las Vegas expansion has mounted the remnants of old-school boomboxes and cassette tapes on the walls and serves plenty of finger food options to be enjoyed at the butcher paper covered tables or at the bar.

On the menu, appetizers such as $5.99 Cajun fries, $9.49 Buffalo or "Rockin’" wings, a $9.49 seafood gumbo and $11.99 deep fried oysters. The $8.95 po'boy sandwiches are filled with fried chicken, fish, oysters or shrimp.

The big draw is the restaurant's namesake collection of seafood dishes, featuring lemon pepper or garlic butter flavors and cooked to a spice level ranging from original to volcano.

Guest can choose crawfish, Dungeness crab, clams, mussels and King crab legs. Sides include corn, potatoes and sausages. And for dessert, the restaurant offers $7.99 deep fried Oreos, served with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries.

The locale is still in soft opening mode and has yet to confirm final opening hours.
