A new rival has entered the the highly competitive seafood and crawfish scene on Spring Mountain Road. Spicy Crawfish is now serving upstairs at the Chinatown Mall, a familiar destination at the Chinatown Plaza.

Spicy Crawfish joins two Hot N Juicy Crawfish locations, plus the Urban Crawfish Station, all within a half a mile section of Spring Mountain, with the newcomer hoping to lure in customers enticed by their "by the pound specials."

Accompanied by a very necessary set of bib, gloves and disposable table cloth, guests are asked "what's your catch?" and can chose main course options like lobster, Dungeness crab, snow crab or King crab legs, shrimp, clams, mussels or crawfish. The dish is flavored "Rajun Cajun," lemon pepper or garlic butter-style and then a spice level is added, kicking the meal from non-spicy to a very noticeable "extra spicy."

Extras include potato, fries, corn priced at 75 cents per piece, or a $4.99 portion of sausage. They also feature an $8 clam chowder soup and a $7.99 etouffee. Appetizers include oysters, calamari, soft shell crabs and wings.

The casual, open plan dining room allows guest to sit at tables, booths, or chairs at the bar below a long row of TV screens.
