Status: Open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday
Buffalo's Anchor Bar shuttered last February at the Venetian's Grand Canal Shoppes food court, leaving a void for lovers of wings and an empty space for a potential new venture to tap into the busy stretch of foot traffic.
Kabob Empire has finally filled the 1,152-square-foot corner, promising "authentic gyros" and "fresh kabobs." The concept has been created by locals Angelina's Pizzeria & Italian Kitchens, who have grown their own mini empire to five locations in Las Vegas and Henderson since 1999.
On the Venetian menu, "homemade hummus" priced at $2.99 and $4.99, roasted eggplant spread, $6.99 stuffed grape leaves, baba ganoush and $7.99 "Athens fries."
Greek, "Summer" and Caesar salads are available, plus lentil soup. Pita wraps, or gyros, are served with a side of rice or fries and include options like veggie, chicken skewers and beef or lamb, all priced from $11.99 to $12.99
Other plate options include skewers, falafel, and ground meat creations. For dessert, the $4.99 choices include baklava, rice pudding and a "night & day cake."
