A new late-night downtown haunt has arrived on Main street, taking over the former homes of Cowtown Guitars and the Exile on Main Street vintage boutique and filling the 6,000-square-foot space with karaoke rooms, a bar and a rear patio.
Ninja features nine private rooms, that range in price from $25 per person, per hour, up to $70 per person inside the larger VIP room. Design themes include “samurai,” “anime,” “cherry blossom” and "Little Tokyo." Braver guests can opt to sing on the “main stage” to friends and strangers.
The bar is making a specialty of its sake selections and customers can use the liquid courage to choose from more than 28,000 English songs or favorites in 14 languages. A weekly top 20 list of the most popular choices currently includes The Killers, Adele, Journey, DJ Khaled and Sir Mix-A-Lot.
Partnered in the project is Mami Kanemitsu, also known as LadyOutrage and a member of the all-female dance troupe We Are Heroes, winners of the 2009 edition of MTV’s America's Best Dance Crew competition.
