Ohjah Japanese Steakhouse Sushi & Hibachi expands for the sixth time in seven years and making a major long-term commitment to its next home at the Lakes Business Park.
Ohjah’s parent company purchased the building and underlying acre plot of land at 8991 W. Sahara Ave., right at the entrance to the mixed use center. The restaurant will take over the long-vacant, 4,344-square-foot former home of Mina Restaurant & Lounge, an Asian fusion concept. Ohjah bought the footprint for a confident $1.9 million back in June.
The remodel is under way and expecting to be unveiled later this fall.
Already operating three Las Vegas branches, one in Henderson and a fifth in Pahrump, Ohjah specializes in sushi and dishes cooked on hibachi grills and teppanyaki tables. Last year, the chain launched a more casual off-shoot, Ohjah Noodle House in Spring Valley, before also expanding to Henderson.
