First announced in June of last year, The Pizza Press is finally expanding to Las Vegas and is well on its way to launching a Roaring Twenties newspaper-themed concept at the Fashion Show mall.
Yet to be confirmed, the five-year-old California franchise expected to take over the vacant Wicked Slice pizza space, shuttered since January after less than three months in business. The standalone building sits directly in front of the northern entrance of the mall’s outdoor promenade and includes the option of patio seating facing the Strip and the Wynn resort across the street.
Fashion Show promises The Pizza Press is “coming soon,” without hinting at an opening date.
The decor and menu will be inspired by vintage newspapers, with flat cap wearing "newsies" guiding guests through "publishing" their own "original edition" pizzas, or choosing one of their in-house creations, like "The Times," "The Tribune" and "The Chronicle," all ready in four minutes.
Decorated with typewriters and print blocks, they deliver their pies on news-print decorated liners. The brand also offers ice cream sandwiches, float and a tiramisu dessert, plus two dozen local and national craft beers on tap.
