Taco Bell rolled out its alcohol-infused cantina concept at the Harmon Corner retail center last year and now next door neighbor Subway sees possible profit in offering drinks with its familiar fast-casual menu.
Located on the ground floor of the Strip-facing mixed-use mall, Subway has been serving 24-hours a day for the last three years. According to paperwork filed with Clark County, the franchise wants permission to turn one of its “sandwich stations” into a cooler for beer and other other beverages and also plans to install new beer taps next to the register. The application will need to work its way through the local approval process.
A few steps away, the Taco Bell Cantina successfully launched in 2016, featuring a “Freeze Wall” of eight flavored drinks on tap that can be upgraded with tequila, rum, vodka, whiskey or spiced rum.
Thirsty travelers can also head one door over to local microbrewers Sin City Brewing, or upstairs, where self-serve kiosk Hop is now welcoming guests to pour their own beer and wine from a selection of 20 taps.
