Korean company SPC Group opted to expand its local, Parisian-inspired presence away from the Strip west to the Chinatown Plaza. The Paris Baguette Cafe debuted at the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes in October 2015, taking over a prominent, two-level spot on the resort’s St. Mark’s Square.
The new location will replace the shuttered, four-year old Yu-Yu Asian fusion restaurant inside a stand-alone building on the eastern side of the Plaza, a few steps from Kapit Bahay Filipino Fast Food.
The 1,840-square-foot space with a maximum occupancy of 52 allocated an estimated construction budget of $300,000, with work expected to start very soon. An official announcement, or an estimated opening date, have yet to be revealed.
Launching more then 3,700 worldwide cafes since 1998, the Paris Baguette menu features French pastries, desserts, breads, salads, sandwiches, and specialty drinks including the “Mojito, Horchata Frappé, and Strawberry Snow Milk.”
