The Food Network turns its cameras back to Las Vegas when Freed’s Bakery takes a starring role on the new TV show Vegas Cakes. The 10-episode series kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 5, with two back-to-back episodes starting at 10 p.m. EST.

The series follows third-generation owner Max Fried and the employees of Freed’s Bakery as they conjure up cakes in the back room of the Eastern Avenue bakery.

The series starts with the Freed’s team conjuring up an alien mashup cake for the Las Vegas 51s, the local Triple-A baseball team, and Cirque de Soleil’s production of Ka at the MGM Grand as the show celebrates its 6,000th show.

Then comes a giant tiger cake and a plaid cake, two complex projects, along with a last-minute order for a custom wedding cake that needs to be delivered to the Little White Chapel.

Subsequent episodes will feature food-inspired cakes to cakes for Las Vegas legends such as “Danke Schoen” singer Wayne Newton and magicians Penn and Teller, as well as Blue Man Group and a stunt man.
