"Where sports and steaks co-mingle" will be the motto of a new restaurant and gaming concept headed to the southwest, set for a grand opening next month.

Michael T's will take over the very prominent corner property at the intersection of Tenaya Way and Warm Springs Road. It replaces the shuttered, round-the-clock Brentwood Cafe & Tavern, which lasted seven years before closing.

The 7,500-square-foot space with an outdoor patio will also features 15 gaming machines operated by Sartini Gaming.

This new project will be built around a menu of steaks, ribs and burgers and also a mission to keep customers entertained.

In addition to promised live entertainment, a Big Tee Golf Room has been created and the venue will be adding space for "dueling pianos." A grand opening has been announced for Nov. 8.
