Revealed back in July, the second local expansion for Gen Korean BBQ House is getting very close to opening day, with the California-based concept now hiring for all positions.

Gen Korean landed at Henderson’s Galleria at Sunset mall in 2015 and is now headed to Spring Valley and its own stand-alone building. Last seen as the home of The Kitchen Gangnam, the 6,500-square-foot space is a short distance from the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard.

Operated by the Octopus Restaurant Group, the restaurateurs have already imported H2O Poke & Sushi Burrito at Harmon Square and H2O Sushi & Izakaya at The Hughes Center.

Gen Korean BBQ House specializes in all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner choices grilled at your table, plus traditional Korean “ban-chan,” or side-dishes. In addition to familiar favorites, the Henderson branch has not been shy about offering less familiar ingredients including “marinated bovine small intestine,” “pork jowl meat,” beef tongue, and “spicy baby octopus.”

Opening hours and an exact debut date have yet to be announced.
