The remodeled former home of The Art Haus has been trying to secure a functional tenant in the Arts District since summer 2013, but the landlords may have finally lured a suitable candidate, all the way from Northern California
Three Sheets Craft Beer Bar is headed into the 3,300-square-foot building, located directly across Casino Center Drive from Vesta Coffee Roasters. Conveniently, a very large “bar” sign has been mounted outside the two-story structure ever since initial tenant, The Hawthorne, flamed out three years ago before ever serving a drink. Wowie Tacos stepped up next, but never got further than mounting temporary vinyl signage.
Located in Dublin, California, 35 miles east of downtown San Francisco, the Oakland Raiders fan bar debuted in November 2014, with a minimalist industrial interior design, outdoor patio and a “(BYOF) bring in your own food” policy. Three Sheets explains to customers, “we are all about beer, leaving the food to the experts in the area” and they continue to be highly supportive of the local food truck scene.
Their personal expertise is focused on “38 taps of premier craft beer,” regularly rotated and alerting aficionados via social media.
A projected opening date has yet to be announced.
