The huge, 54,750-square-foot vacancy left by the departure of Krave Massive back in 2013 is scheduled to be filled at downtown's Neonopolis by an equally ambitious venture.
While many details are yet to be revealed, Notoriety will take over much of the third floor of the Fremont Street retail center, neighboring the Millennial Esports 200-seat arena and sitting one floor above The Nerd nightclub.
Ken Henderson, CEO of the Best Agency talent company, is behind the combination nightclub and live entertainment concept. Henderson was a former partner of Poppy Den and owner of Pizza Lounge, both now shuttered at Tivoli Village.
Originally a 14-screen movie theater built in 2002, the Neonopolis space will offer live entertainment inside nine of the theaters, with the option to project films into some of the spaces.
The lobby will include a bar and lounge, a "merchandising” area, plus room for “pre- and post-show gatherings, meet & greets and special events." Yet to be confirmed, Notoriety expects to take full advantage of the district's zoning laws and be open between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and also offer after-hours clubbing between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m.
An estimated timetable for completion has yet to be announced.
