Lotus of Siam finally found a new home after heavy rains caused the roof to collapse at its location in the Commercial Center on Sept. 11. The Thai restaurant from award-winning chef Saipan Chutima takes over Roy’s former location on East Flamingo Road. The restaurant plans to open by Nov. 1, in time for its 19th anniversary in Las Vegas.
“We finally got our location! It’s not too far from our original one. The address is 620 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119. We will be open by Nov 1! We are happy to announce that this is our second home and it is on Flamingo & Paradise. We hope to see you guys soon,” Lotus of Siam wrote on Facebook.
Lotus of Siam does plan to move back to the Commercial Center when the roof is repaired.
Owner and chef Chutima won a Best Chef: Southwest in 2011 for her northern Thai fare. Since 2012, Lotus of Siam had been a member of the Eater 38 as well. The restaurant fell off the most recent version of the list.
