The long-shuttered Carmine's Little Italy & Sports Lounge in northeastern Henderson has finally found a replacement tenant. The large, 7,084-square-foot space had been mothballed for years and has been taken over by the operators of the Rustic Lounge dive bar, five miles to the west.
The Rusty Putter Lounge is hoping to take advantage of its position at 891 DeMarco Drive, less than a mile from Lake Las Vegas and easy to spot by travelers on E. Lake Mead Parkway. Sitting a couple of miles from the Chimera Golf Club, the location also means a lack of close competition.
Currently operating only as a bar with gaming machines already installed, the Rusty Putter hopes to add dining in the future and also open the restaurant to families. An upgraded kitchen including “pizza ovens” was included with the lease.
Rustic Lounge debuted in April 2016, replacing the former Magoos Lodge at 1817 North Boulder Hwy. and adding live music, karaoke, drink specials and a welcoming atmosphere for the local biker community.
