Big changes in the works for downtown’s Neonopolis, with one new tenant arriving very soon and some big star names possibly contenders for a move into the Fremont Street retail and nightlife hub.
Neonopolis owner Rohit Joshi recently spent some quality time with rock legends Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS at their Rock & Brews restaurant inside the San Manuel Casino in Highland, California.
Joshi revealed on social media he discussed with the stars a “potential partnership” at Neonopolis, although it is not yet known if they specifically proposed bringing the family-friendly, but still very rock 'n' roll restaurant chain, downtown.
What can be confirmed is the third local expansion for the elevated coffee shop Makers & Finders, which will move into suite 105 on the Neonopolis ground floor. The Arts District success story debuted on Main Street in early 2015 and will be opening in Downtown Summerlin by the end of November. The Neonopolis branch is also promising it will begin pouring by the end of the month.
Still on the way, an ambitious and huge live entertainment and nightclub venture. Notoriety will take over much of the third floor, neighboring the Millennial Esports 200-seat arena and sitting one floor above The Nerd nightclub. An estimated opening date for Notoriety has not been announced.
