SEOUL, KOREADosa, the Korean restaurant from Las Vegas-based chef Akira Back, earned its first Michelin star from the guide this month. The former professional snowboarder turned chef has been on a tear lately opening restaurants in Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta and Delhi. LAS VEGASMasaharu Morimoto, who has his eponymous restaurant at the MGM Grand that just turned one, teases that he’s considering a ramen restaurant in Las Vegas. He tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he might open his New York Momosan Ramen & Sake in Las Vegas. “We’re negotiating,” he tells the newspaper. [LVRJ]

NEW YORK CITYChristina Tosi’s Milk Bar raised its first round of venture capitalist funding, which the pastry chef plans to use to expand into more cities nationwide.
