Off the radar for most visitors to the Strip, the Westin Las Vegas hopes its upgraded new dining option will lure non-hotel guests to join them on Flamingo Road this December.
First revealed back in August, Jake & Eli is promising its steakhouse twist to be ready by the end of the year. Specializing in a drinks menu built around whiskey and bourbon, original plywood art featured a back story of two fictional rivals, one possibly named in tribute to Elijah Craig Bourbon.
Already teased for the small plates side of the menu, elote, or grilled Mexican street corn, pork rinds and queso dip and “Vidalia onion hush puppies with sorghum catsup.” Plus, cocktails created with High West Boulevardier whiskey, sweet vermouth and Campari, a “Smoked Flying Fig” bourbon creation and pours from San Francisco's WhistlePig Rye Whiskey.
Elsewhere on property, long-time three-meal restaurant Savona Bistro has returned to action after a remodel, open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and weekend brunch from 6 a.m. to noon.
