On schedule to be completed in late 2018, the current phase of the massive remodel at the Palace Station resort will add two new dining imports, including one promised more than three years ago.
Announced by Red Rocks Resorts’ Steve Cootey during a company earnings call, chef Ralph Perrazzo finally gets to bring his BBD’s, beers, burgers and desserts gastropub to Las Vegas. Back in 2014, he revealed to Eater Vegas his ambition to create an off-Strip expansion of his Long Island, New York, original.
A former alum of Bradley Ogden at Caesars Palace, Jean-George in Manhattan and Clio in Boston, chef Perrazzo prepares his 12-ounce steakhouse burgers on a wood and charcoal grill.
The East Coast menu includes confit chicken wings, “NYC Street Falafel,” vegan barbecue nachos, grilled candied bacon wedge salads, plus boozy shakes, Philadelphia-inspired sandwiches and smaller “bar grub” choices. Cootey described the plans for the Palace Station as an “innovative approach to the neighborhood burger bar concept.”
Also on the way, the Boathouse Asian Eatery from Sonoma County, California’s Graton Resort & Casino.
Serving a mix of Japanese and East Asian cuisine, including sushi options, the original Boathouse menu is available for lunch and dinner and features specialties such as lobster stir fry and salt and pepper crab, Chinese duck noodle soup, clay pot salmon, many wok, grill or steamer selections and bento box complete meals.
