The abrupt shutter of 41 nationwide Joe’s Crab Shack locations over the summer has finally and without fanfare, expanded to claim the last remaining Las Vegas outpost.

A 7,000-square-foot Henderson location at 4250 E. Sunset Rd. was shut without warning during the August cull by the restaurant chain, in many instances reportedly carried out without informing employees. The Henderson site is already available to lease.

The final local restaurant at 1991 N Rainbow Blvd. on the west side has also now shuttered. The once successful brand also closed a Spring Valley location in recent years.

Owners Ignite Restaurant Group, which also operates Brick House Tavern + Tap, filed for bankruptcy in June and was then acquired by Landry's Restaurants Inc. in August.

Beach shack-themed with plenty of nautical decorations inside and out, Joe’s Crab Shack featured a casual menu probably best known for its buckets of crabs, plus steampots, varieties of shrimp dishes, lobsters and Louisiana-inspired options.
