Back in 2015, The Halal Guys hatched a plan to open in Las Vegas, bringing its first location to Chinatown the following year. Now the food cart that launched in 1990 in Manhattan has its very first location inside a casino, making its debut at the Forum Food Court at Caesars Palace. Dreams of feeding late-night crowds with the “magic” white sauce and optional hot sauce served over a very simple menu of chicken, gyro and falafel over rice or in a sandwich.
Diners can choose from chicken, beef gyro, or a chicken and gyro combo, or go for falafel. Hummus, baba ghanoush, and fries, as well as baklava make up the menu.
The Halal Guys join Smashburger, Di Fara Pizza, Earl of Sandwich, Tiger Wok & Ramen, La Gloria, Romaine Empire and Starbucks in the 14,900-square-foot Forum Food Court. The restaurant replaced Phillips Seafood.
The restaurant holds its grand opening on Dec. 14 with free food from noon to 5 p.m. and again from 11 p.m. to close.
At last count, The Halal Guys now operate 49 locations in the United States, South Korea and the Philippines.
