Take a “walk on the wild side” later this month when the Troy Liquor Bar takes over the former Gold Diggers nightclub space at the Golden Nugget resort.
Launched in New York’s Meatpacking District in April 2014, the bar's owners, BR Guest Hospitality, already operate Strip House Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort. Conveniently for this latest expansion, the company is a subsidiary of Landry’s Inc., the owner of the Golden Nugget.
In Manhattan, the bar is modeled on a "simpler" time, of "hippies, not hipsters" and features retro cocktails, graffiti art on the walls and pool and foosball tables. The theme is somewhat similar to the recently debuted Corduroy, located further to the east along Fremont Street.
Filling 4,082 square feet and aiming for a Nov. 24 debut date, the club is set to open after 9 p.m., Thursday to Sunday. Already promised for Las Vegas, the return of the second-level balcony overlooking the Fremont Street Experience, VIP tables, a dance floor and a “diverse rotation of DJs.”
