Just a year ago, Las Vegas didn't have a single Metro Diner. Now four locations of the family-run company that promotes itself with the slogan "where the locals eat," dishes out its generous portions of "traditional diner fare with flair.” The latest debuted on Serene Avenue between Spencer Street and Eastern Avenue.
This 4,000-square-foot diner with seating for 125 patrons replicates its sister locations that snake around the 215 Beltway on the south side of town from Tropicana Avenue to Stephanie Street in Henderson.
Daily blackboard specials change up the menu while classic favorites such as a meatloaf plate and crab cake Benedict add to the diner appeal. Diners can order fried chicken and waffles topped with strawberry butter made in house, Charleston shrimp and grits speak to its Southern origins. The portions here are large and ring in under $15.
