The former Shifty’s Crows Nest dive bar space has been stripped to the floor, given a thorough makeover and is set to return this week as a self-described “slightly upscale sports bar with some sexy decor and great food that will blow your mind.”
Owner Patrick Hua plans to launch the G.O.A.T Sports Bar at 6 p.m. on Dec. 19. Located at 3805 W. Sahara Ave., it sits a very short walk from Herbs & Rye and features very large, easy-to-spot signage.
While round-the-clock opening hours have yet to be confirmed, social media previews indicate the bar will feature eight gaming machines and offer its own players club for repeat gamblers.
Promising “a modern touch with comfort and style,” a partial reveal of the menu include choices priced between $7 and $9, like mushroom poppers, Korean spicy wings, katsu chicken strips, sauteed prawns and "La Rustica" created with “rustic bread, ham, Gruyere cheese and a fried egg.”
