It has been a rough couple of months for Asian-inspired local favorite Bachi Burger.
In November, the Southern Nevada Health District shut down its southeast location at 470 E. Windmill Lane for a cockroach infestation. Shockingly, less than two weeks later they found the exact same insect problem at its Village Square restaurant on the westside.
Both sites eventually reopened, but now comes word its long-troubled third home in Spring Valley has itself shuttered. Located at the Russell Pavilion retail center, it debuted as Bachi Healthy Life Kitchen, a.k.a. HLK in April 2014, inside the former home of Ohana at 6825 W. Russell Road.
Originally only open for breakfast and lunch and serving a more health-conscious menu, after four months the experiment went on hiatus before returning at the end of the year as Bachi Burger.
The Spring Valley closure marks the third Bachi outpost to shutter, including two expansions in California.
Locally, the brand also still operates Shoku Ramen-ya in the southeast, which sits right next door to the chain’s original 17-year old restaurant.
