In one of the shortest tenures of 2017, Claim Jumper has already shuttered at the eastside’s Hughes Center, less than three months after replacing its sibling concept, McCormick & Schmick’s.
Both operated by Landry’s Inc., the parent company had previously closed the Claim Jumper at Town Square before moving the staff and a more casual menu over to the 10,346-square-foot space on Flamingo Road.
With two Claim Jumpers now down, local diners can still find its three-meal, “family-friendly atmosphere” on the westside at 1100 S. Fort Apache Road, in Henderson at 601 N. Green Valley Parkway and downtown at the 24-hour location inside the Golden Nugget resort.
Debuting in 1998, the purpose-built structure didn't have time to makeover the interior during the last few months, keeping intact the “mahogany woodwork, brass fixtures, Tiffany-style lamps and stained glass ceilings.” A possible future tenant has not been announced.
